Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Konyet (“Konyet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information when you use our apps, websites, and related services (the “Service”). It also explains the responsibilities that apply when users include information about other people in content they create.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, authentication provider, public username, display name, and profile photo.
- Community content: We store the communities you join or create, along with posts, reactions, applications, and messages you choose to share. Content may include information about other people if you choose to provide it.
- Support information: We receive information you send when you contact support, report content or users, or ask us to review a moderation decision.

- Notification information: A device or browser token and notification preferences when you enable push notifications.
Information from other sources
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the account details that provider makes available according to your choices, such as an account identifier, email address, name, or profile photo. Other users may also provide information about you in community content, applications, messages, or reports.
How we use your information

- Provide communities, posts, applications, messaging, and other requested features.
- Keep your communities and activity available across supported devices.
- Deliver service messages and notifications you enable.
- Provide support and communicate with you.
- Review reports, moderate content, enforce our Terms, and protect users.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
- Understand performance and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and valid legal requests.
Who can see User Content
Information in your public profile and public communities may be visible to anyone who can access the Service. Information in private communities is intended for current authorized members and administrators, but members can still copy or share what they see. Community owners and administrators may access membership, application, and moderation information needed to manage their communities. Choose carefully what you publish or send.
When we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information:
- With other users: according to the feature, community, and visibility settings you use.
- With community administrators: when needed to manage membership, applications, content, or reports within their communities.
- With service providers: such as cloud hosting, content delivery, authentication, storage, communications, and push-notification providers that process information for us.
- For legal and safety reasons: when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, a valid legal request, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the Service.
- During a business change: in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Service providers and external services
Konyet uses service providers and external platforms to operate the Service. These may include Google and Apple for sign-in, Firebase for push notifications, and Cloudflare for hosting, security, and content delivery. Their processing may also be governed by their own privacy terms. Links to third-party websites, including Telegram, open services that Konyet does not control.
User responsibility for other people’s data
If you include another person’s personal information in User Content, you are responsible for having a lawful reason, permission, or other authority to share it. Do not publish sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information. Konyet may restrict or remove content when privacy or safety concerns are reported.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, and comply with applicable law. Certain account information, usage records, and other records may be retained for up to three years, or longer where applicable law requires it.
When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify account information from active systems, subject to reasonable technical and legal exceptions. Copies may remain temporarily in backups. Content already shared with others may remain where needed to preserve a conversation or community record, but identifying account details may be removed. We may retain limited information needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, secure transport, and managed cloud infrastructure. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International processing
Our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we take steps intended to provide appropriate protection for such processing.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law and the Service’s capabilities, you may:
- Access and update certain profile information.
- Control community visibility and notification preferences.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information.
- Delete your account through the app settings.
- Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides that right.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some requests may be limited where retaining or processing information is required or permitted by law.
Children
Konyet is not intended for a child who cannot legally consent to use the Service without permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required permission, contact us so we can review it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy, update the date above, and provide additional notice when appropriate.
